  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 8–10 cashews
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp grated coconut, optional

Preparation Method

Step 1 – Roast the Rice & Dal

Wash the rice and moong dal thoroughly. Lightly dry roast the moong dal in a pan until it becomes aromatic. Add the rice and roast gently for another minute.

Step 2 – Cook the Rice & Dal

Add the roasted rice and dal to a pressure cooker along with water. Cook until both become soft and creamy.

Step 3 – Prepare the Palm Sugar Syrup

Add Rigel Spices Palm Sugar to a saucepan with a little water. Heat gently until the palm sugar dissolves completely. Strain the syrup if necessary to remove any impurities.

Step 4 – Combine the Ingredients

Add the palm sugar syrup to the cooked rice and dal. Mix well and cook on low heat for a few minutes. Add milk and continue stirring gently until everything combines into a smooth, creamy mixture.

Step 5 – Add Flavour

Add cardamom powder and grated coconut if desired. Mix well and cook for another minute.
